Everything you need to know about supporting your debater at tournaments

Tournament Day Schedule

WACFL tournaments typically run from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Students should arrive 30 minutes early. Rounds run throughout the day with lunch breaks.

Dress Code

Business professional attire is required for all tournament participants. Boys: suit or dress pants/shirt/tie. Girls: professional suit, dress, or pantsuit.

Transportation

Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from tournaments unless otherwise arranged. Carpooling info will be shared by coaches before each tournament.

Registration & Fees

Tournament entry fees vary. The team charges a seasonal activity fee that covers most WACFL tournaments. Nationals requires additional registration.

Coaches will send tournament-day updates via email and the team app. Please ensure your contact information is current in the team portal.

Watching Rounds

Parents are generally welcome to observe rounds at WACFL tournaments — but please remain silent and avoid signaling to debaters during rounds.
